I volunteered quite a bit in secondary school. I never realized the impact it would have on me for the future, even though most of my volunteering never seemed to make a direct impact at the time. My efforts were primarily in social events and public relations; I was the sole editor and main writer for the Hazelton Gazette. Although stressing at times, I understood that social media was only as important as the publicity that backed it up. To this extent, I was a morning announcement supervisor. There may not have been many fans out there of my bad jokes, but I stood strong, resound on the idea that my peers should know what opportunities were out there.
